Following my show on Saturday night, I was delighted to receive a most wonderful gift: the following poem by Harriet Israel and Raphael Kabo.
A big thank you to Harriet and Raphael for what you read below! They’ve mingled in effectively with glasses topped-up frequently. A symmetry of faces gazing spellbound angled avidly at rhythm rhyming dangerous before the set begins. Fingers trickle expertly and tickle each piano key - a consonance of ivory, with harmonising cutlery (like tuning forks, but lyrically) - and Peter starts to sing. Now basement boasts cacophony of darks and brights chromatically, past silken sax bowed sexily to Peter, as he sings. |
