Biography

Peter Borthwick is one of London's top jazz performers with light and smooth vocal style reminiscent of Chet Baker and Mel Torme. Peter performs with his band a combination of swing, ballads and bossa novas with a great deal from the American Songbook.
The British born singer with a classical music background has been singing from a young age and is inspired by Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobin, Michel Legrand and Harry Connick Jr. His jazz career began when asked to sing in a small restaurant in Chiswick and then became a regular performer at some of London's private party nights before setting up his own band.
Peter works with acclaimed pianist and arranger Janette Mason. He has performed sell out nights at Pizza Express jazz club on Dean Street, upstairs at Ronnie Scotts, and loves to duet with other jazz and soul performers. His band includes Simon Little on bass and Katie Patterson on drums.
Peter's latest album, This Moment is co-produced by Emmy award-winning Orange is The New Black star Lea DeLaria and Janette Mason. It includes a mix of timeless Latin-flavoured brassy songs featuring saxophonist Alan Barnes.
