Mishka is a singer, instrumentalist and voice teacher. Born in the Philippines to a Filipina sculptor mother called Agnes Arellano, Miska discovered her love of music at a young age, signed with Candid Records and has already enjoyed a musical career that has taken her from Germany, The Philippines, Argentina to Brazil. Recently she released an album in the UK with the great Pete Churchill called Stories to Tell.

They’ve mingled in
effectively with glasses
topped-up frequently.
A symmetry of faces
gazing spellbound
angled avidly at
rhythm rhyming
dangerous before
the set begins.
 
Fingers trickle expertly
and tickle each piano key
- a consonance of ivory,
with harmonising cutlery
(like tuning forks,
but lyrically) - and
Peter starts to sing.  
 
Now basement boasts
cacophony of darks
and brights chromatically,
past silken sax bowed sexily
to Peter, as he sings.
