Come down to The Pheasantry next Wednesday night for my February 1st Jazz Pick Me Up! What better way to shake off the winter blues than a Jazz Pick Me Up at The Pheasantry Pizza Express on The King's Road. Next Wednesday 1st February I will be back at The Pheasantry with a special upbeat show and I hope you will be there for some pizza and music with me and my band, featuring the very talented Janette Mason with Tom Mason (no relation) and Pete Ibbetson. Please do spread the word and bring along your friends for a great night! Book tickets here! Following my show on Saturday night, I was delighted to receive a most wonderful gift: the following poem by Harriet Israel and Raphael Kabo.
A big thank you to Harriet and Raphael for what you read below! They’ve mingled in effectively with glasses topped-up frequently. A symmetry of faces gazing spellbound angled avidly at rhythm rhyming dangerous before the set begins. Fingers trickle expertly and tickle each piano key - a consonance of ivory, with harmonising cutlery (like tuning forks, but lyrically) - and Peter starts to sing. Now basement boasts cacophony of darks and brights chromatically, past silken sax bowed sexily to Peter, as he sings. This October I am returning to The Pheasantry with my band. Come and join us for pizza and some great music! Tickets are available here. Book now to for the best seats!.
